Listen . . . A Poem for Easter

DaddyRob posted this on his blog (see link below), and I liked it so much I thought I would post it here as well.

Could it be that  the voice of God on Easter sounds a lot like Shel Silverstein?

Listen to the MUSTN’TS, child,
Listen to the DON’TS
Listen to the SHOULDN’TS
The IMPOSSIBLES, the WON’TS
Listen to the NEVER HAVES
Then listen close to me –
Anything can happen, child,
ANYTHING can be.

  1. Such a fine posting…I really like the poem that you shared…as an aside my children thought that Shel Silverstein books were what all children heard at bedtime instead of nursery rhymes. :-)

  2. Thanks very much for stopping by and leaving a comment as well! I stopped by your blog as well and loved it. I will be adding it to my blog log.
