While much of importance and consequence happened on this day in history, I found only two things I’d like to share with you today.  They are quotes from Luther and Lewis.

1521 – The great protestant reformer Martin Luther wrote in a letter: “Be a sinner and sin boldly, but believe and rejoice in Christ even more boldly, for He is victorious over sin, death, and the world.”

1953 – Author and Christian apologist C.S. Lewis wrote in a letter: “How little people know who think that holiness is dull. When one meets the real thing, it is irresistible.”
