Broken to Be Given

  1. It makes sense to me. Our lives have to be broken; whether by frustration, pain, or illness, in order to bring ourselves closer to God. Basically, putting our faith in Him to help heal our wounds.

As an example, I suffered a compound fracture of my right wrist on 12Jun09. Now, I could have chosen to be mad and say “Why Me?”, but I took it as a lesson of strength. Meaning, that if God did not think I could handle the temp. loss of my good hand (I’m right handed), I might not have broken it. I know through the power of prayer my hand has been healing rather well. It has been four weeks (actually 1 month as of 12Jul09) with an external fixator attached to my wrist. And yet, here I am sitting at my computer typing away with both hands. I call that a Blessing from Above.
