Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, a German musician and composer and the second of five sons of Johann Sebastian Bach and Maria Barbara Bach, was born on this day in 1714. He was one of the founders of the Classical style, composing in the Rococo and Classical periods.  Below is a portion of his Oboe concerto featuring Stefan Schilli.
