Today in History – February 15th

Nothing serious today, with the exception of the first entry.  Just some odd things from previous February 15ths.

In 1919 a “tidal wave” of 2 million gallons of molasses inundated sections of Boston, MA, drowning 21.

In 1931 the very first “Dracula” movie was released.

In 1937 Nylon was patented.

In 1977 the Coneheads made their debut on "Saturday Night Live."

And in 1983 Thom Syles kept a LifeSaver intact in his mouth for over 7 hours ( a world record).

And there you have it.
