Challenger Space Shuttle Disaster – Today in History

On Jan. 28, 1986, space shuttle Challenger exploded 73 seconds after liftoff from Cape Canaveral, killing all seven crew members.

I was walking through the TV room in the Powell Student Building at Eastern Kentucky University when this tragedy occurred.
