Country First?

As a follower of Jesus there is only one thing that needs to come first in my life.  It’s not my country.  It’s not an affiliation with a political party – Democratic or Republican.  And it’s not even my relationship with my beautiful daughter Desiree.  The number one thing in my life must always be my relationship with Jesus.  Anything else is just idolatry.

  1. This is a tough one and often misunderstood, I think, especially today in the U.S. I quite agree and struggle for it to become true in my life. But, it seems to me that often the U.S. “God Bless, America” seems to be a command or birth right rather than a prayer, and that many Christians somehow think that the U.S. is now the ‘chosen one of God’. Yes, I think my brothers are those around this world who seek after the Lord Jesus, regardless of their country. Great Post, btw.
